What we collect

Account details (email, authentication data), listing content you submit (title, description, photos, price, location), messages and bids you send through the platform, and technical data (IP-derived country for currency defaults, device/browser information).

How we use it

To operate the marketplace — publishing listings, matching search results, processing payments, sending order/bid notifications, and preventing fraud or abuse. Listing photos are analysed by an AI model to generate captions, descriptions, and categorisation (see the AI-content disclaimer on listing pages).

Who we share it with

We use the following processors to run the platform. None of them see more than they need to do their job:

• Supabase — database, authentication, and file storage (Sydney region).
• Stripe (Connect) — payment processing and seller payouts. We never see or store your full card details.
• Google Cloud (Vertex AI) — AI-generated listing descriptions, photo analysis, and search parsing (Sydney region).
• OpenAI — search embeddings (used to match your search terms to listings).
• Google Maps — location display on listings and search results.
• Resend — transactional email (alerts, notifications, order confirmations).

We do not sell your data to third parties.

Your rights

Under the New Zealand Privacy Act 2020, you can ask to see what personal information we hold about you and request corrections. Contact us to make a request or to delete your account.

Cookies

We use cookies for authentication (staying signed in) and to remember your country/ currency preference. We don't use advertising or tracking cookies.
